Chappy:German General.....i need a German General......hello people??
Suddenly being selected for the role of general seems much less prestigious when you can't give the position away...
I suppose an alternative would be (and hear me out before you start flaming me) to have one of the allied generals take over the role of the German general and set it up to be more of a traditional WWII game. The drawback, of course, would be that you couldn't exactly forge an alliance with your sworn enemy. The benefit, would be that you'd have the opportunity to focus more of your energy on shooting the bad guy as opposed to figuring out who in the hell your allied with at any given moment and who is trying to kill you. Also, having two generals per side and having to cooperate and coordinate your forces with your ally throughout the game could be interesting as well. (As in WWII) Everything else in the game would remain the same. The money, the special abilities, etc...
This style might also benefit the game if turnout for the day doesn't reach the 250 mark that Battlefront is shooting for. With 5 teams and 150, you're only looking at 30 people per team.
Just some thoughts. I'm not necessarily saying I'm for or against any of them. :)
